Port of Weymouth

Ferries and Ferry Companies Operating
(Weymouth, Dorset, England, UK)

The only company which operates passenger ferry services from Weymouth is Condor Ferries. They handle all passenger traffic heading to St Peter Port in Guernsey and St Helier in Jersey.

Condor Ferries

Condor Ferries manages all ferry services from the port of Weymouth.

The company was founded in 1964, with a surge in business and operations in the 1990s. Daily sailings are offered to the port of Guernsey, which take 2 hours, 15 minutes. Ships also depart daily for the port of Jersey, taking 3 hours, 35 minutes.

Ships include the Condor Express and the Condor Vitesse. These vessels offer the fastest crossings between the Channel Islands and the UK mainland. In 1999, an additional all-weather vessel was added to the fleet. This ship is able to operate service between the mainland and the islands even during the colder months when its faster counterparts are unable to operate. Condor Ferries offers three types of service: inter-island crossings, UK mainland to France, and crossings from either mainland to the Channel Islands.

Ship facilities include comfortable, airline-style seating, plenty of space to move around, a la carte dining facilities and shopping amenities. All ships are fitted to accommodate the disabled, with modified restroom facilities and the means to accommodate wheelchairs.
